Balloon Partners terms
These Partner terms are a binding agreement between you and Balloon for the Balloon Partners program. They add to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict on Partners, these terms control.
1. Independent contractor
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or legal partner of Balloon. You are responsible for your own taxes. Balloon does not withhold tax or provide benefits.
2. Partner pages
Approved partners receive one page at https://balloon.marketing/with/{code}.
Balloon generates and hosts the page. The subscribe button, affiliate disclosure, and
noindex tags are always included. Partner pages are personal share URLs, not
a public directory, and are kept out of search indexes.
Pages must stay clean: no profanity, racism or other hate, pornography, illegal activity, or gambling. Balloon can unpublish or suspend a page at any time.
3. Disclosure
The partner page and any ads, emails, or posts for it must make the paid partnership obvious, including as required by the FTC and similar rules where you promote.
4. Attribution and commissions
First touch wins. A visitor who first lands on your page or any Balloon URL with
?via=your-code may be credited to you if they later become a paying customer
within the cookie window (60 days). Later partner links do not steal that cookie.
Commission is 20% of collected subscription payments for 12 months from that account’s first successful PayPlus charge, on the actual debit. Referred customers get 10% off their first month — including yearly, where the first invoice is the yearly price minus 10% of one month, not 10% of the year. Commission follows that discounted first charge. It is not paid on ad spend, rejected projects, trials, or unpaid cards. Self-referral, existing Balloon users, and joining your own account do not count. Invited teammates are not extra referrals; commission is per billed account.
Balloon may change the rate going forward. Already-locked referrals keep the rate stored on that referral.
5. Payouts
Each commission is held for 30 days (refund window), then payable. Payouts are monthly in USD, $50 minimum, via PayPal or Wise, to the payout email you set. Balloon records payouts in the app; v1 is not an automatic payout API.
6. Prohibited promotion
- Bidding on “Balloon” or other Balloon trademark terms.
- Coupon, deal, or cashback sites.
- Spam, purchased traffic that is fraudulent, or misleading claims about income.
7. Rejection, suspension, clawback
Balloon can reject, suspend, or terminate a partner, unpublish a page, and void or claw back commissions for refunds, chargebacks, fraud, or breach of these terms.
